Dream Pop...do you mean jingly jangly dull indie? Never heard that term before but I am an old git!

Nothing like the above, but Wonk Unit are well worth checking out...quality modern tunefull punk/hardcore with a twist, superb live and top lads aswell.

Been going quite a while now, so not excactly new but.....

If there was any justice in the world they would be a lot popular then they are.

My son's band has recently released a song on Spotify / i-tunes / Google play.
South Hours is the band and the song is called Bruise.
It's quite catchy indie stuff as they are influenced by bands like The 1975 and The Cure.
You are welcome to check that out.

Odder Seas are a fairly decent young band grom Norwich are just starting out too. They are on Sound cloud and Youtube I think.

Re: Need some new music recommendationa
Mmmm...haven't heard of any of these bands except Wolf Alice so a bit older than you. Like giant peach though so this might give me some idea as to where you're at. Intro same as Xerox by Adam and the Ants. How about 80's alternative, Bauhaus, Psychadelic Furs, Joy Division, The Fall. I'm assuming you've bumped into the Stooges and Hendrix but if you want a whole New World of listening and musical virtuosity maybe check out Zappa from the Fuck Off guitar solos like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTSBR7eHL_I to the sophisticated (well in view anyway) pieces like Pink Napkins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPJ1ybWo09speaches and peaches en regalia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGQxI0G6mKkandy. How about some hippy stuff, Buffalo Springfield https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEMpIrC6OQA, Joni Mitchel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aOGnVKWbwc, Joe Cocker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ecZ94guWl0 , Neil Young https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An2a1_Do_fc, James Taylor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ALnh3w32VE, Cream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXjeXEI7KHk or 60's psychadelic like early Pink Floyd (See Emily Play Arnold Lane, Careful with that Axe Eugene), Velvet Undergound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Bp-ihtgzdE. Bearing in mind everything a lot of stuff is blues based how about some Blind Willie Johnson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Bp-ihtgzdE, Lula Reid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VyfKThLB7o, Nappy Brown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpuxK_XZdwg, or some Jazz, Chet Baker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4PKzz81m5c, Yusuf Lateef https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAxdTSc_ftshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YoapuIvv_4 Pharoah Saunders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii63fKLTSuU or Etta James https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YkMQ86ZDYg or if you want to back even further how about some of the cool boys from the 17th and 16th centuries, Bach, Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Thomas Tallis, William Byrd and Teleman.

You're welcome.

Cheers joey son. I've googled Dream Pop but it includes Dua Lipa alongside MBV. As usual, such tags are a bit meaningless I suppose.

Oh and I may well be at the same gig!
